Dividing IV on the Lines on EB2 or EB3 or on basis of ROW/India is something i just dont like. United we stand !!!!!! .
I saw couple of threads earlier from you which talks against porting of EB3 to EB2 - i believe you had some lawsuit idea there for not allowing BS+5 to port to EB2 which is think i highly divisive and unfair on certain peoples
Lets come up with ideas without stepping on each others shoe and i'm 100% willing to join.
Here is what I propose:
1. Any one with good english language skill : Can you please volunteer to draft a letter stating the issue....
2. Please contact your lawyers to see if they have contact in AILA.
3. Please contact you state chapter leader to discuss what can be done from IV stand point. I live in tri state and will contact. Murali or Chandrakanth

you are right we were not brought here on a gun point but at the same time we did not beg anyone to bring us here... it is entirely a two sided business deal... and no one is doing any favor to anyone here ... we are doing our job and they must do their's. and yes we are "Highly Skilled" and we do deserve repect and our voices do deserve to be heard. Sure they can put an Ad in any newspaper and replace me with someone else but the question here is not about you or me... it is about the "LEGAL IMMIGRANTS" and which in that case would include anyone who they bring in to replace me.
Absolutely agree...and also please note that yes, they may replace the individual me or the individual you....but can they replace the whole immigrant population who are in the long and endless queue for a GC?

I can tell you there are roughly 100,000 labor applications filed (50,000 EB3) between Aug 2003 and Dec 2003 for EB India category. The reason was everybody wanted to clear thru regular process before PERM takes over. Those Labors filed after Aug 2003 and before PERM started are moved into backlog and are fully cleary last 4 th quarter. And so 90% of those EB3s may be still there (45,000) hanging. EB2s could have been cleared substantially till Dec 2003. It is all my guess work and not sceintific or factual. also ..this looks very inaccurate ..because I know lot of indians who got H1 during the peak (when h1 was 195k) have gone back. i.e either they got better oppurtunities back home or just went back as they were not getting jobs. I did stay in one of the guest house which had lots of consultants ..none of them are here anymore !!

My APs are pending approval, I was told they reimburse if we write to them. Did they reject your apps and paid you back the checks? We also got our cards this 15th, what do we need to do at the SSN office, please guide.

No, I did not get a refund. I even got a mail for my EAD application being rejected.
If there is a process to get a refund, I would like to know it too.
But I am not too hopeful in this situation as I remember when efiling for EAD and AP, I read somewhere that the application fee is non-refundable.
At the SSN office. You fill out application for a replacement card. Option 3 on the ticket generating screen.
The SSN issuing staff know what to do after that. This goes without saying take your GC with you. Nothing else is required. They do not even look at the passport or any other form of ID. GC is the only thing needed.
FYI got the new SSN cards. They do NOT say permission required from DHS to work. In fact the card is exactly similar to the one my daughter got (she is US citizen, born here).

in trouble. I am not on H1 but I think the moment you get H1, in this case COS from H4 to H1 within few months you should have paying job. There will be problem at time of extension if no paystubs are present. Bench or not employer need to Pay H1b if he has hired one.

With out IV, The only two things folks on the hill knew were illegal immigration and H1B visa. Now more than 75% offices know the EB issue inside out and have a position on it. This is an effort that needs to be continued until we get a solution.
This in itself is a stupendous achievement and IV has made it possible. 2 or 3 years back you had NO VOICE. Now you have IV. Thats enough reason contribute and feel involved in the community effort.

Any volunteer for the letter. We will need to move fast ! God knows what Oct bulletin has in store for us.
My biggest worry is that the bulletin may show retrogressed dates and the dates will stay there as it is till last quarter when visa flow will take place.

SRC is always Texas , LIN is Nebraska. Also when you input the receipt number in USCIS case status website it tells you which center this application is with.
I understand that. What I wanted to know was what number you have? SRC or LIN? And also to confirm, if it was cashed by TSC? and not the case that it was cashed by NSC and then scheduled to be transfer to TSC?

My friend filed on July 2nd to NSc..she called the level 2 support and they said that her information is still nto in the system and that they are busy with lot of applications and asked her not to worry...
I applied on August 2nd and still nothing....

I just called USCIS. The woman was polite but she told me there is nothing she can tell me since it is still within 90 days and she cannot tell me the receipt number. :mad:
