Question remains.. Why ? Why people dont do what is expected when they know that these initiatives are going to help them?
Lack of convincing power that IV will do something. Lack of trust in IV organization. Lack of advertisements. lack of communication.
How do successful organizations ask people to donate money? There is something to be learned. If the cause is right (we all know it is) then its a matter of delivering this message that will get people convinced. Lot of charities get donations. How? I think that is what we need to learn. Most desis are not even aware about this organization. I bumped into it via google search for my immigration answer. So lets throw some ideas around for better advertisements.

In my opinion, we need to have separate efforts for EB3 (now that EB3 I and EB3 ROW are in the same boat). If we have someone with leadership qualities and wants to use some social networking site for discussing EB3 issues and identifying approaches to solve the EB3 issues, there will be many EB3 folks willing to support the effort. Immivoice is just useless portal, it doesn't have open forums and the core folks here don't care for EB3. In fact, their lobbying efforts were behind USCIS changing the rule for spilling over the unused visa numbers to EB2 first. Just my 2 cents.

Either the US Consulate got the EB-3 India date wrong or there was a typo in the Oct Visa Bulletin. I wish/hope there was a typo in the bulletin and Mumbai consulate got it right....Cut Off Dates- Consulate General of the United States Mumbai, India (http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/cut_off_dates.html)..But it seems they might have copied the date from China column of the visa bulletin...

If Labor Certification and I-140 Approval Notices are a property of the Employer, how the "Beneficiary" is supposed to invoke 'AC-21' for changing jobs in the future without having the approval notices? - My employer has a policy of NOT giving out approval notices of LC and I-140.
for AC-21 (if you choose to inform USCIS: its recommended, but some people dont do it) you only need to provide a letter explaining you are porting, and include a copy of your new employers offer letter. You provide receipt number of your 485. I-140/LC copies not needed. If you are trying to port after 6 years of H1, and need to extend H1 with new employer, thats when you need copy of I-140 approval notice or LC. If your employer does not provide it, I think you will be forced to use AC-21 with EAD in that case.

There are many who are in the same boat where cases are in transit or with an officer for quite some time. I wished USCIS processes the case in order of PD rather than in a random fashion. Also they need to do it at TSC and NSC.

when american's from such third rate schools are not getting jobs, do you seriously think foreigners with their funny accents and relatively poor English communication skills (I'm Indian and can tell you its still a second language to me) can get jobs??
The market has a way of regulating itself. As someone mentioned above, there were a a lot of H1 space available from 2001-03. But it never got filled because there were simply not enough jobs. Lets not try to set up govenment intervention here....let the free market decide....that is what made this country great.
btw, NumbersuSA, FAIR and other restrictionist organizations have zero credibility because they oppose even legal immigration.

My status on CRIS has changed. No emails. Its says my approval has been sent. But nothing about the card. I spoke to the CS and they said my biometrics have to be uploaded. In the mean time can I get my passport stamped?
One of my friend was in your situation. He got the I797 stating that 485 was approved. He took infopass and got the passport stamped. Hope this helps.

Report them to USCIS and blacklist them. They don't get anything by suing you. They have more to lose if you report them to USCIS.

Careful my friend. Porting rules will be as tough as the rules for applying in Eb2. If you make porting difficult, you will set a higher standard for the approval of your application in Eb2 ending up with the possible rejection of yours and other Eb2 applications.
Why would you want to stop someone eligible to apply in Eb2? If someone has met all the criteria, the same criteria you had to fulfill when applying in Eb2, then what is the problem?
